Mother's Day 2012

I had a nice Mother's Day! We are so lucky to have a lot of Mothers in our lives, and wish we could have seen them all. I was enjoying too much and didn't get many pictures of the weekend, so here are some from our phones. I'm so lucky to have two wonderful kids who make me a mother.

Grant and his "cousin" Miles.  Grant loves babies and was excited to "hold it."

Sorry this is so blurry, my grandparents and their three great grandchildren (with one more soon to be in picutres in Sept!).  The kids are so lucky to know their GG's!

Our only family picture we got on Mothers Day weekend, towards the end of the day after we went out for ice cream.

The kids with Grandma and Grandpa S.  Glad we got a good picture of them all.

Grant not paying attention as usual.

My gifts from Jenna.  A cute poem about "If you give a Mom a muffin" and homemade muffins, along with a handprint and picture poem.  I LOVE handmade gifts!

Grant's gifts to me.  A handprint plant with a cute Mom poem, and a art project to hang.

Jenna, Grant, and Miles, all smiling and looking at the camera, it's a miracle!

Happy 5th Birthday Jenna!!

Jenna was so lucky to be able to celebrate her birthday so many times!  She had a celebration at preschool, a party with friends at the bowling alley, and multiple parties with all of our families who did a great job to make sure we celebrtated her birthday seperate for our Christmas celebrations.

Jenna and Wyatt at their Bowling Alley Birthday party!!  Pizza, cupcakes, cookies, and bowling with 18 five year olds is an exhausting day, in case you were wondering!

Yummy!!

Jenna's birthday and Christmas!

Jenna turned four on December 19! She is getting so big. We celebrated her birthday from December 11 - 24, I think she was a bit confused, but of course, not complaining!

Christmas was also great, visiting with all the families, and the kids got beyond spoiled. Jenna LOVED opening presents and decided that "Grant wouldn't mind" if she opened his for him too!

Grandpa S. reading Jenna one of her new books. She is a book worm!

Celebrating her 4th birthday with Grandma S., I don't know who was more excited!

A Tinkerbell birthday cake!

I'm FOUR years old!! YAY!!

Aunt Kristyn and Jenna coloring a Tinkerbell T-shirt...fun!!

Jenna and me...with one of her classic goofy faces.

Grandpa GG (81), Kristyn (29), and Jenna (4)! Celebrating three birthday's at once! There was a lot of singing and candles that day! What a great tradition!

Jenna LOVES her Tinkerbell couch from Aunt Kourtney and Uncle Tim! Looks cozy!

Erik and his Mini Me...Grant!

Santa came!!! We had to go check when Jenna got up at 6:30, she was upset she didn't hear jingle bells and thought Santa didn't come. Thankfully he did come, and brought lots of presents, including that great doll house!
Another year down!

Getting What You Want 101

It's amazing to me how quickly toddlers learn the ways of manipulation and getting what they want. I sometimes think Jenna must teach a course in daycare, something like, "Getting what you want 101", because she is so good at it. Or maybe one of her partner's in crime, Kate, is a co-teacher!

We were at my parents the other night and from their backyard you can see a playground. Jenna loves parks. These are the conversations that took place.

Jenna: Mommy, I go to park!
Me: No honey, we are going to stay here and visit, it's getting late.
Jenna: I go ask Grandma and Grandpa...
(She stomps off)

Jenna: Grandpa, I hold your hand?! (places her hand on his)
Grandpa: Sure
Jenna: We go for nice little walk!

Moments later they are off through the field headed to the park. I swear, she didn't even ask Grandpa to go to the park, she just asked to hold his hand! Who could turn that down?

I am greatly fearing the tween years I hear so much about!

Grandma & Papa's Overnight

Erik and I had a wedding this last weekend. Jenna stayed at her Grandma and Grandpa Byron's house and had a lot of fun! The pictures prove it....
