Dear Jenna - 28 Months

Dear Jenna,

You are now 28 months! Closer to 2.5 than to two years old. Everyday you amaze me and make me laugh. You are getting so big, physically and emotionally. We are all so thankful that we are having some nice weather days, you love being outside and absolutely LOVE swinging! I think your new play set was a good investment.



The things that come out of your mouth are so funny. It's a blessing to see the world through your eyes. You are a carbon copy of a little adult and you pick up on so much. Just last night, we were eating soup and you said to me, "I told you it was very hot!" You've taken our bedtime routine and now do it to me sometimes. If I pretend to go to bed you will come over and rub my back and sing songs, then say, "Good night, sleep tight Sweetie."



You have a new passion for dinosaurs. You talk about them often and you always say, "They have a LONG neck and a LONG tail and three LONG fingers!" I don't know exactly which dinosaur you are explaining, but you enjoy them.

You are a confident and compassionate little girl. I hope these characteristics stick with you as you get older. Life is full of challenges and I hope you will continue to have the right attitude, with the exception of the occasional tantrum of course. You will go far! You are also right there to be a cheerleader. We are working on potty training and if you are in the bathroom with me, you are always offering a positive pep talk. "Great job Mommy, You on the big girl potty! Wipe your butt!"



Often times you will say, "Look at me, TA DA! I beautiful." You are always there to lend a helping hand. If a cartoon character needs help you are right there saying, "He needs HELP, Don't worry, I'll help you, I'll get you!" Yesterday you and daddy went to the store and you heard a baby crying. You started yelling back to her, "She needs HELP, I'll get you! HELP! She's crying!"

I know every parent says every age is their favorite, I am the same in saying this stage is so much fun. You are learning things everyday, becoming your own person and continue to be a light in our lives!
