Catch Up - Fall 2011

I am so far behind in my blogging, which does not feel too far off base from how I feel day to day.   We've had a great fall and start to winter.  Here is just a brief review of the Halloween season.  Jenna was so excited for Halloween this year and it was quite a decision on what she was going to dress up as. 

Jenna begged to carve the pumpkins, she was just as excited to bake and eat the seeds too. 

Grant and I at Papa's Pumpkin Patch.  He loved running around and doing all the kid activities, but I think his favorite was eating a donut and drinking cider...typical Grant!

Happy Halloween 2011 - Jenna was Bat Girl and Grant was a Bat. 

Jenna loved Trick-or-Treating this year, but she liked handing out candy at our house even more.  She cried when 8:00 came it was over.  Grant made it for about 30 minutes then he was cold and tired.  I can't imagine how weird Halloween is for a 16 month old.

Dear Jenna,

Dear Jenna,

You are now 4 years old! I cannot believe it, I often find myself looking at you in awe that you're my daughter. You're so smart, beautiful, funny, dramatic, creative, outgoing, and so much more. I'm so proud of you and the little person you are becoming. You make me laugh on a daily basis and say the funniest things. The things you come up with are so beyond your years at times.

You are the best big sister Grant could ever ask for. You love him so much, you are his protector, and biggest cheerleader. This is all true, unless he's spitting up on you, which he still does VERY often, then you say, "Grant, I am so frustrated by your spitting up all the time!"

I'm trying to bottle up all the love and cuddles you give your Dad and me. You're so emotional and loving. In fact, for your birthday wish you told us you wished that you family could stay together forever! How sweet honey!

You had your four year doctor appointment and are still in the 90th percentile for height and weight. It's only a matter of time before you will be taller than me. Your weight is 40.5 pounds, and your height is 41.5 inches.

Halloween Video

I know this is a lot late, but I finally figured out how to get video off my blackberry onto blogger...So enjoy my little sweetie!

Now that I know how to do this, there will be lots more to come.

Trick-or-Treat!

Jenna had so much fun trick-or-treating! She kept saying, "I just LOVE Halloween!" "I just LOVE trick-or-treating!" She was polite with thank you's for everyone too!

Happy 5 year Anniversary Hubby!

On October 23, Erik and I celebrated five years of marriage! The old cliche stands true, time flies! On our actual anniversary this year we were flying home from a much needed vacation, just the two of us! We went to Marco Island, which is where we honeymooned! We LOVE that place.

I feel so lucky to have Erik in my life, he is a great husband and dad! Here are some pictures from our wedding day. Man - these are depressing....I was so tiny!!!! Maybe this will be motivation to get there again!

Hey There Little Red Riding Hood...

Halloween 2008 was a hit! Fun was had by all!


At daycare they did a parade through the Medical Care Facility so all the old people could see the kids and their costumes. Jenna would say "Happy Ween!" It was SO cute!




She had a blast trick or treating. She went up to all the doors and would say "Trick or Treat!" She didn't like people putting candy in her basket. I think she thought they were going to take candy away from her. She would do an interception between their hand and her basket. She would take the candy from them and then put it in her basket herself.




Hmmm...what to eat first!?!?


Oh - AND Jenna went potty on her potty for the first time Halloween Night! GO JENNA!

Papa's Pumpkin Patch

It was a perfect fall day to take Jenna to Papa's Pumpkin Patch. Who knew you could spend two hours there! Jenna had so much fun; running up and down "Mount Pleasant" hill, riding in the little tractor train, checking out all of the pumpkins, and walking around! It was a great day!
