Dear Jenna,
Today you are two and a half! Time does go by so fast. You are such a little girl now and it's hard to believe you were once 6 lbs. 12 oz. I wish I could say this last month has been all happiness and great, but you've been carrying a bit of an attitude lately! I really hope it's just the age, but I have a feeling we are in for it when you turn 13!
You are now picky about what you wear. Almost every morning you cry and get upset.
"I don't WANT to wear this shirt"
"These pants are too small!" (honey - Capri's are supposed to be shorter. You always say, "wait, I have to pull my legs down!")
"I don't want to wear these shoes, they are BOTHERING me!"
"Leave my jammies on!"
"I am NOT going to wear that!"
This could possibly be paybacks from when I changed my outfit four times a day! Sorry Mom!
You also are in a new "scary" stage. You don't watch scary shows so I'm not sure where you discovered the word MONSTER. You were always so fearless, and with somethings you still are, but you will ask me to hold your hand as we go down the hallway because you are scared on Monsters. We are also in a band-aid stage. We have to put a band-aid on somewhere every night, on your hand, foot, knee, wherever you decide you have an ouchie.
Even through the challenging times you are our little peanut. We love you so much and cannot imagine our lives without you. You make us laugh everyday and we are amazed at your intelligence. You also are getting quite an imagination! The other day I asked you to tell me a story and you said,
"Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess...and a monkey. They jumped into the castle in a faraway land."
Can you tell we read princess and fairytale books a lot? Yes, you still love to read and I love that.
You've moved up to the Tyke room at daycare, no longer classified as even a toddler. Your teachers say you are a social butterfly and very caring to your friends. If anyone gets upset or cries, you are the first one there telling them it's okay.
I feel like I've learned so much from you and I hope you've learned some from me too. We are so lucky to have you Jenna Noelle!
Love always and forever,
Your Mommy
